Job Description


Applies advanced technical knowledge and demonstrates familiarity with high speed video cameras and lenses, trajectory trackers, triggering equipment, network switches and related equipment, pan & tilt units, tripods and power generators. Uses trigonometric equations to determine camera location. Determines equipment needed for test based on customer's requirements and test documentation. Acquires, sets up, checks out cameras and related equipment and collects images of items under test. Interfaces with customer to understand data requirements. Uses camera-specific and Windows software to collect imagery. Review data on site to determine/maintain quality and to determine if adjustments are necessary. Provides playback of recorded events for test customer, as required. Uses motion analysis software. Takes direction from senior level technicians. Operates and monitors image capturing and recording equipment at test sites or in fixed wing aircraft or helicopters while in flight. Performs operator maintenance on equipment. Guides small to medium size teams of technicians. Maintains records and logbooks. Uses point and shoot or other cameras, as required, to document test set up, damage to equipment or Technical Infusion/Sustainment items. Performs other duties as needed to ensure completion of test mission. This position is covered under the Collective Bargaining Agreement.
Qualifications


Pay Rate:$32.35

Education/Licenses/Certifications/Experience Requirements:

*Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

*Must have one of the following: 5 years' experience in a related field, OR 4 years in section OR directly related AA / Trade School / Military training AND 4 years' experience in a related field OR BA/BS and 2 years' experience in a related field.

*None.

Physical Requirements:

*Must pass a pre-employment drug screening and physical and periodic retests.

*Must be able to wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for work tasks assigned.

*Must be capable of working in extreme weather conditions including summer temperatures peaking around 120 degrees Fahrenheit.

*Must be capable of lifting 60 lbs. unassisted.

*Must be able to climb ladders safely.

*Must be capable of kneeling, squatting, bending and standing while performing duties.

*May be require to have applicable flight physicals and maintain ability to fly on test aircraft.

*Must be able to distinguish colors. Must meet the physical requirements necessary to perform operations outlined, performed, and stated in the SOPs for Optical Imaging-Stills-HSV.

*Must possess a valid driver's license, without special restrictions.

*Must have dependable transportation and a dependable means of communication.

*Must be able to work all shifts, weekends, holidays and overtime as needed, sometimes on short notice, to support test missions.

*Must be able speak, write, read, and understand English.

*Must have a well-mannered customer service attitude.

*Must be willing to cross-train in other areas.

*Must use "down-time" effectively to the benefit of test, self, and company.

*Must be punctual, responsible, and dependable.

*Must demonstrate motivation, initiative, and reliability.

*Must be adaptable, flexible, and able to adjust to new or changing instructions.

*Must have a demonstrated ability to follow instructions and company policy.

*Must be able to deliver quality products to the customer and be responsive to their needs.

*Must be safety and security conscious, complying with rules and policies.

*Must be able to work both as part of a team and independently.

*Must be able to maintain own tools to the minimum required by the company.

Additional Desirable Qualifications:

*Secret Security Clearance.

*Extensive knowledge of high speed cameras and related equipment.

*Sophisticated user of motion analysis software.

Terms of Employment & Eligibility Requirements:

*Must be a U.S. Citizen.

*Must possess or be able to obtain a security clearance prior to employment and maintain security clearance for the duration of employment.

*Must be a current TRAX employee or affiliate subcontractor for internal postings.
