Our Client is looking for data center technicians to install cable and fiber at META data centers located in New Albany, OH THESE ARE SECOND SHIFT: 2nd shift schedule is Sunday - Thursday 6pm-6:30am. Core Responsibilities * Install and decommission network and cabling infrastructure in a data center environment * Assemble and install ladder racking and seismic bracing (above and below raised floors) * Dress and furcate fiber trunks for splicing * Perform fusion splicing (Ribbon/Single, OSP/ISP) * Install, connect, and decommission network equipment * Operate DSX 5000 and OTDR testers; program and download results to Linkware/Linkware Live * Create and apply mass labels per Portmap * Differentiate live cables from decom cables * Conduct service swaps of live networking devices * Maintain data center cleanliness and follow safety, quality, and production standards * Read and comprehend blueprints, redlines, and building documentation * Provide structured feedback on project progress to stakeholders * Collaborate with internal teams to remove project obstacles * Exhibit quality workmanship and attention to detail Skills & Qualifications * Experience with basic telecom hand tools * Ability to pull and terminate all types of low-voltage cable * Familiarity with wiring schemes and testing procedures * Capable of reading and interpreting floor plans and design documents * Strong understanding of copper and fiber cable testing and troubleshooting * Ability to layout MDF and IDF closets and dress all types of cable * Maintain orderly paperwork and run service jobs independently * Understand job safety requirements and customer service standards * Comfortable working in data center environments * Knowledge of FIM database and scanner operation Additional Skills & Considerations * Strong work ethic and eagerness to learn * Open to candidates with no cabling experience if they have data center familiarity (e.g., physical security, logistics, decommissioning) * Willingness to train and grow within the trade * Ability to communicate effectively-verbally, visually, and in writing * Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs., climb ladders, pull cables, and work on raised platforms * Dexterity to operate tools, computers, and testing equipment Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $23.00/hr.
