Hours: Monday - Thursday: 5:00am - 2:00pm: Friday: 5:00am - 11:00am; overtime as needed

JOB SUMMARY: The CNC and Laser Operator is responsible for engraving memorial plates and creating patterns using a variety of CNC milling and laser router techniques and for assisting in the development of the new product lines.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:


  • Using CAM or CAD software to create 2D and 3D models and toolpaths based upon work orders or customer-supplied drawings
  • Cutting out custom emblems, date scrolls, and other items per order specifications
  • Operating and maintaining laser engravers for a variety of purposes; includes, but not limited to, production of patterns to create 3D photographic representations for memorial products, various emblems and fixtures, cutting cardboard, etc.
  • Creating custom pieces from brass and aluminum to update patterns used to make memorial plates
  • Assembling EIB Memorial pieces from work order to final product, ensuring proper pattern design and size
  • Preparing digital files for correct machine operation. Including tools and tool path
  • Aiding in the development of various items used in the production process



SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE

  • 1 year of experience in CNC machining is preferred
  • General knowledge of software used to program CNC, milling and/or turning machines, ie. 3D Modeling, CAD, and/or CAM software
  • General knowledge of design and modeling programs (CorelDRAW, Photoshop, CarvCo, etc.)
  • General math skills
  • Must be able to read work orders or production tickets, which may include dimensional drawings
  • Ability to read a tape measure, imperial and metric
  • Excellent problem solving and critical thinking skills, with an emphasis in time management, improving efficiencies, and exercising independent judgement to determine work priority and urgency
  • Work as a self-motivated team member who adheres to all safety protocols and is willing to be cross trained as needed
