ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Safety



  • Actively cares, promotes, manages, and advocates safety at Western States. As a leader and team member in the organization, it is critical to ensure all employees, vendors, and clients have a safe work environment while adhering to all applicable safety policies, procedures and standards.
  • Maintains clean/clutter free personal work areas to ensure safe environments for all WSECO employees.
  • Adhering to required personal protective equipment (PPE) as identified in safety policy.


Process Management, Inventory Control, and Receiving



  • Receives and verifies incoming shipments by checking merchandise against purchase orders (POs) and packing slips, flagging discrepancies for resolution.
  • Coordinates with warehouse teams to ensure timely and accurate logistics for all Stock Room and ecommerce orders.
  • Tracks inventory levels, conducts regular stock counts, and maintains an organized, clean, and safe Stock Room for efficient item retrieval.
  • Fulfills e-commerce and internal orders by accurately picking, packing, and shipping items.
  • Performs quality control checks on incoming and outgoing products, reporting defects and coordinating with vendors for resolution.


  • Assists with invoice matching and documentation for accounts payable.
  • Maintains accurate records of inventory, shipments, and financial transactions to support audits and reporting.


  • Supports vendor relationships by communicating product issues, coordinating returns, and ensuring timely resolution of discrepancies.
  • Assists in vendor onboarding and maintains documentation related to vendor performance, compliance, and delivery timelines.


  • Coordinates with creative teams to ensure product assets (images, descriptions, branding) are accurate and aligned with marketing campaigns.
  • Manages timelines and deliverables for ecommerce-related creative projects, including product launches, promotional updates, and seasonal refreshes.
  • Maintains asset libraries and ensures consistency across ecommerce platforms.
  • Collaborates cross-functionally throughout the enterprise, marketing, design, and operations to execute ecommerce initiatives.
  • Collaborates with stores within assigned territory to establish and grow retail presence.


  • Follows assigned work schedule with consistent attendance and punctuality.
  • Adheres to customer care standards and supports a positive customer experience.
  • Participates in training and strategic initiatives in support of Western States' programs and goals.
  • Promotes and embodies the organization's vision, mission, and values in daily work.
  • Performs other duties as assigned, demonstrating flexibility and team support.
  • Collaborates with stores within assigned territory to establish and grow retail presence.



Western States Experience



  • Assists with Employee Onboarding Tasks
  • Works with the Procure to Pay team with vendor orders, business cards approvals and PO creation.
  • Support task level execution for uniforms, branded apparel, name tags, and etc.


KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES



  • Working knowledge of or ability to learn ecommerce platforms. (i.e. Shopify)
  • Working Knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite or similar design tools
  • Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with others.
  • Ability to utilize computer systems for time entry, personnel data, e-mail, and basic operational functions.
  • Ability to work overtime as needed
  • Consistent attendance and punctuality.


EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:



  • Minimum of six months of customer service experience required. Supply chain, logistics, or warehouse experience preferred.
  • Minimum of one year ERP experience or Microsoft AX/Dynamics 365 preferred.
  • Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record required.
  • Must be able to communicate (speak, read, comprehend, write in English).


PHYSICAL CHARACTERISTICS:



  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time along with walking, sitting, climbing stairs, reaching pushing, pulling, leaning and twisting.
  • Some exposure to extreme temperatures, fumes, high noise levels, and dirt.
  • Able to lift up to 60 lbs in accordance with Western States' Lifting Safe Work Practice to include amount and approach.
  • Must be able to meet all safety requirements for applicable safety policies.
