- Support the client (VIS) Austin, TX site as an electrical engineer for components, devices, systems, software, and test systems for commercial products, product enhancements, and new product development.
- Performing electrical design activities, including, but not limited to, component selection, circuit design/simulation, prototype evaluation, unit-level testing, lifecycle testing, system integration testing, drawing/document creation and modification, and execution of Engineering Change Orders within SAP for hardware, firmware, and embedded software components.
- Continuously improving quality by addressing manufacturing and field non-conformities through troubleshooting and root cause analysis with the use of electrical test equipment and custom test sets.
- Proven track record of contribution to multiple products, projects, and processes taken from concept to fruition.

Required Skills / Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering
- Minimum 5 years of experience in the design and manufacturing of custom electrical assemblies
- Minimum 7 years of electrical engineering experience
- Minimum 5 years of experience in test engineering, test development, and practical hands-on work
Preferred Skills / Qualifications:
- Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering
- Medical device experience
- Good electrical design skills with schematic and engineering analysis capabilities.
- Excellent written, verbal, and organizational skills, including maintaining thorough and accurate engineering documentation needed for medical devices, and the ability to effectively communicate with all levels of engineering and management.
- Outstanding interpersonal skills to work with cross-functional internal and external teammates in the mechanical, software, quality, manufacturing, supply chain, and service organizations.
- Self-motivated and detail-oriented to produce high-quality results in a timely fashion.
- Understanding of electronic assembly fabrication and manufacturing processes with experience collaborating with contract manufacturing suppliers for new product introduction (NPI).
- Knowledge of best practices for design for manufacturing, serviceability, and reliability.
- Familiarity with electronic product development in a highly regulated environment..
