Summary of Role:
Assist the department in daily loan application review; loan approvals/ denials utilizing multiple software platforms while multi-tasking between projects assigned. Directly responsible for individual oversight and department growth potential of Dealer Channel Lending areas. The ideal candidate will possess excellent technology skills, a creative and open-minded approach to lending while possessing the acumen needed to adhere to company and department policy and lending procedures.
Essential Job Functions/Responsibilities:
Coordinate with the Consumer Loan Manager the implementation of Dealer Channel Auto Account efforts in terms of sales channels, loan approvals, opportunities for growth and complete, compliant and accurate documentation and approvals, while overseeing daily loan applications and approvals, using proven knowledge of loan underwriting alongside company policy and set procedures and price decisions
Provide courteous, professional support to members and dealerships in person and by telephone Receive and research member and dealer inquiries, complaints and requests regarding accounts, projects, rates and services/products offered. Responsible for following-up on member and dealer inquiries and research to assure satisfactory completion, while looking for all opportunities to cross-sell Broadview productsand services as they relate to the organization sales goals and environment Maintain working relations with members and dealers and offer alternatives to problems Remains current on department and organization changes in policies, procedures and product offerings Identify training needs both individually and department -wide and reports them to management
Maintain the completion of accurate paperwork and is responsible for its submission to appropriate departments as required by policy and procedures Assist management, co-workers, other departments, and other credit union personnel as needed, providing essential levels of teamwork, while meeting and frequently exceeding team expectations Utilize and understand all third-party vendor tools and software and their applications on duties and responsibilities Communicate effectively with members, co-workers and management. Maintain confidentiality of all member, employee and credit union policy and loan information
Develop and maintain a professional image and accepts and understands the corporate philosophy required both in the community and in work environment per company standards and guidelines Represent the Credit Union in public relations, especially with dealerships, as required Other duties as needed
Minimum Job Qualifications:
Associates degree in Business or related field Minimum three (3) years lending experience or equivalent combination of education and experience in a lending environment Consumer loan underwriting experience preferred
Starting Compensation:$22.62-$27.15/hr., plus a competitive benefits package Bilingual individuals who are fluent in a second language in addition to English are highly encouraged to apply.
