Quality Inspection Supervisor

This position is classified under Global Grade:

Grade 16

Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will play a key part in driving continuous improvement within the Quality testing operation. Responsibilities include training and evaluating new testers, as well as developing and refining detailed work instructions to ensure consistency and accuracy in testing procedures.

The work model for the role is: Onsite at Pinetops, NC

You will be mainly accountable for:

  • Develop and maintain comprehensive testing work instructions for all product lines.
  • Train testers on proper test methods and procedures - training will include occasional off-shift coverage.
  • Evaluate testing competency of individuals
  • Effectively use Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook for documentation and reporting.
  • Work independently with minimal supervision, managing multiple priorities and tasks efficiently.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally in English, both verbally and in writing.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of 6 years of manufacturing experience, preferably in a testing or quality assurance role.
  • General understanding of electrical principles and testing methodologies.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently (self-motivated and self-directed) and successful at managing multiple priorities
  • Requires occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds, frequent squatting, bending, stooping, sitting and stretching, standing and walking for extended periods of time. Requires full range of motion including handling and lifting, manual and finger dexterity, and hand-eye coordination
  • Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.
