Overview The Manager, Ocean Elite Solutions is responsible for identifying and executing opportunities to streamline and accelerate implementation processes through the creation of standardized documentation and best practices applicable across all Ocean Elite customers. In addition to internal coordination, the manager engages directly with customers and external providers to ensure operational excellence and alignment with client expectations. The Manager, Ocean Elite Solutions also supports the director in scaling Ocean Elite resources globally and serves as a delegate in their absence to maintain continuity and leadership. Responsibilities
Oversee origin activities including operational training, supplier onboarding, performance tracking through key performance indicators (KPIs), and the development and maintenance of standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Qualifications Education * Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience (Required) Experience * 5+ years freight forwarding experience (Required) and * 5+ years management of direct or indirect reports in a large scale operational organization (Required) Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities * Demonstrated proficiency in Infor Nexus, with specific experience in Logistics Service Provider (LSP) modules. High * Advanced competency in Windows OS and Microsoft Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams). Medium * Ability to effectively use Excel for data analysis, reporting, and dashboard creation to support Ocean Elite performance metrics. Medium * Proficient use of CargoWise for shipment visibility, milestone tracking, and exception management. High * Maintenance of seamless integration between CargoWise and Infor Nexus platforms with the ability to identify and resolve data discrepancies between systems. High * Development and deployment of Ocean Elite dashboards and reports that provide actionable insights and show achievement of defined KPIs for origin activity, including supplier compliance, SOP adherence, and operational efficiency. Medium * Intermediate understanding of Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) protocols and workflows. High * Ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications and communicate effectively with IT and vendor teams. High * Ability to accurately execute new business implementations in a timely manner, including milestone setup, exception handling, and testing. High * Create standards and define measurable gains in system efficiency, data accuracy, or user satisfaction resulting from enhancements through process improvement initiatives launched and completed annually. High * Ability to successfully replicate Ocean Elite resources across global regions. Medium * Ability to serve as an effective stand-in for the Director, maintaining continuity in decision-making and strategic execution.
