Job Overview
The HUS Director of Sourcing - T&D will provide overall direction to the sourcing team supporting the Transmission and Distribution (T&D) strategic business union of Hubbell Utility Solutions. This role will be the responsibility for managing team of Sourcing Managers, Sourcing Specialist and Sourcing Agents. The role will be accountable to deliver on the Material Cost Reduction targets for the T & D BU. The role will be liaison between Strategic Sourcing and the BU to ensure BU requirements are met and category strategies resolve BU problems. The role will be accountable for on time delivery of the projects and on-ground execution of the category strategy. Secondly, this role will be responsible for developing and leading a suppler sole source de-risk strategy. This position will report to the Senior Director, Sourcing HUS. Direct Spend:Direct day-to-day responsibility for managing and supporting the efforts of a Sourcing Manager responsible for their respective commodities. This will include working with the internal Strategic Business Unit stakeholders on productivity improvement strategies as well as the ongoing Supply Chain performance management and improvement. Supplier Risk Mitigation: Develop and execution of risk reducing direct material sourcing strategies for Hubbell Utility Solutions. Primary focus will be the review of casting, forging, stamping, electronics and fiberglass product spend by region and determining action plans to reduce risk while considering total cost of ownership. In addition, this role will provide leadership to the Hubbell Utility Solutions and organization and coordinate with Hubbell Corporate Sourcing to develop best cost options for supply. Workload and strategy creation will be balanced across multiple Hubbell Utility Systems Business Units to create optimum risk reduction. A Day In The Life
