Position Summary Reporting to and functioning under the general supervision of the Director, the 3D Imaging Technologist operates 3D imaging workstations and other computers. The candidate manages transfer of image data to and from the 3D Lab workstations in an accurate and timely manner and manipulates digital medical images in multiple planes and dimensions for clinical visualization and analysis of diagnostic studies. Candidate also uses the electronic medical record system to update scheduling and billing records. Maintains facilities in proper order. Must keep abreast of all new 3D rendering techniques and computer programs/systems. Education Completion of an accredited Radiology Technology program. Advanced registry in CT or MRI thru the ARRT. Experience Minimum of three years of scanning experience as a CT or MRI technologist required. Experience with 3D and/or multiplanar reformatting preferred. Skills ARRT (CT or MR) and current CPR certification thru the American Heart Association. A 3D Imaging Technologist must be experienced in cross-sectional computed tomography (CT) and must understand cross-sectional anatomy to be able to recognize scan artifacts and abnormal anatomy/pathology in 3D images. Excellent interpersonal interaction and communication (oral, written, presentation) skills. Ability to perform tasks accurately with attention to detail, changing from one task to another without loss of efficiency or composure. Ability to function independently and competently in stressful situations. Responds positively to changes in the work environment related to changing patient needs. Ability to work cooperatively within the health-system, co-workers, and multidisciplinary team members (i.e. physicians, Patient Care Services staff members, etc.). Ability to utilize effective time management to set priorities, perform job related responsibilities, and respond quickly to emergency situations. Ability to use analytical and critical thinking skills to effectively problem-solve. Will be trained to learn the advanced imaging techniques required to consistently create high quality, clinically valuable 3D images from CT or MRI scans.
