Job Description:

Position Summary:

The Business Banker develops and oversees a Business Banking Portfolio. The incumbent is responsible for growing and developing business relationships by offering deposit services, facilitation of business loans up to $1,000,000, and making introductions for other services including treasury management utilizing internal partner sources. Responsibilities include securing credit approvals, fostering connections with other lines of business, overseeing portfolio management, and ensuring loan compliance by obtaining and analyzing pertinent financial data.

Primary Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Actively participate in new business development activities to attract new, profitable, less complex businesses for Everwise.
  • Screen and interview applicants to assess their financial needs.
  • Gather required information to compile a comprehensive loan package to submit for decisioning.
  • Conduct joint calls with MicroLenders, Commercial Team, Treasury Management, and other internal stakeholders and departments.
  • Coordinate internal and external resources to close loans by adhering to proper documentation procedures, obtaining required signatures, and disbursing funds per approval.
  • Manage loan portfolio, deposit accounts, collections, and associated documentation.
  • Maintain professional community relationships to enhance Everwise's visibility and secure new business opportunities.
  • Introduce additional financial services to enhance member relationships, such as -Commercial, Cash Management, Mortgage, and Retail Services.
  • Assume additional responsibilities as required for the growth, advancement of Everwise.

  • Understand and adhere to government laws, regulations, and Everwise's policies and procedures concerning Anti-Money Laundering Regulations including but not limited to the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), US PATRIOT ACT and OFAC.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, or a related field, or equivalent relevant work experience.
  • 2+ years' experience in financial services.
  • Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Relevant certifications or advance degrees, preferred.
