Position Title: Lab Tech

Work Location: North Chicago, Illinois, USA, 60064

Assignment Duration: 1 year from start date (possible extension to 2 years)

Work Schedule: 5 days/week, 4 hours/day preferably in the mornings (around 8am-12pm)

Work Arrangement: 100% onsite

Position Summary: Support laboratory activities, preparing and keeping it ready for experiments while following proper laboratory safety protocols.

Background & Context:

  • The Biologics Drug Product Development group develops antibody drug conjugates (ADC) and other biologics by state-of-the-art formulation and analytical technologies.
  • We create valuable intellectual property through new formulation compositions and prepare and defend CMC (Chemistry, Manufacturing and Control) regulatory content.



Key Responsibilities:

  • General housekeeping of laboratory: supplies, chemical reagents, and lab equipment.
  • Prepare buffers and solution for use in the laboratory.
  • Follow proper safety protocols which includes, but not limited to wearing personal protective equipment, and the proper disposal of biohazard and/or chemical waste.



Qualification & Experience:

  • High school diploma with STEM background and 1-3 years' experience in a laboratory setting like during a college chemistry or biology class.
  • AS with 1-3 years of experience.
  • BS in scientific field with no experience.
  • Experience in wet bench lab preferred (can be from school) - pH meter, analytical balance, micropipettes, volumetric measurements, mathematical calculations, unit conversions, etc.
  • Be able to work in a scientific laboratory setting with a strong attention to details, safety, cleanliness, and organization.
  • Be able to work independently and follow directions.
  • Possess good communication and documentation skills.
  • Be able to lift weights and work with hazardous chemicals.
  • Basic computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office.
