Our team in Military Aircraft Group is looking for a Repair Station Quality Manager to join them. You will report to the Quality and Business Excellence Director and will have an onsite 9/80 work schedule in Torrance, CA.

The Repair Station Quality Managerwill ensure our Repair Station Quality Management System remains fully compliant with regulatory and customer requirements. This role is critical to maintaining operational excellence and aviation safety.

As Repair Station Quality Manager, you will:

  • Act as the primary contact for regulatory agencies. Ensure timely certification renewals, quality reporting, and compliance with all applicable regulations.

  • Create and maintain procedures that integrate regulatory requirements into maintenance, preventive maintenance, and alteration processes. Ensure all manuals are current and accurate.

  • Lead inspection activities (receiving, preliminary, hidden damage, in-process, and final) to ensure adherence to maintenance data and repair station procedures.

  • Confirm all work falls within the scope of the repair station certificate. Maintain and update capability lists.

  • Manage internal and external audits, including planning, execution, corrective actions, and follow-up. Mentor and train employees to ensure audit effectiveness.

  • Analyze audit trends and findings to drive process improvements. Enhance audit systems and internal procedures for greater efficiency and compliance.

  • Oversee initial and recurrent training programs for personnel involved in civil aviation maintenance activities to ensure regulatory compliance.

  • Lead Safety Management System (SMS) initiatives, train personnel, document results, and recommend solutions for safety-related findings.

  • Interface with auditors, regulatory bodies, and internal teams to drive quality improvements and support global repair station operations.

  • Occasional travel (5-10%) may be required.

To be considered for this role, you'll typically bring:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or a technical field (or 8 years of equivalent experience)

  • Aerospace/defense industry experience

  • Minimum 5 years in a repair station or maintenance organization

  • Deep understanding of regulatory standards and quality management systems

  • Proven leadership and mentoring experience

  • Strong background in quality systems and continuous improvement

Salary Range Transparency:

Torrance, CA $110,000.00-$150,000.00 Annually

Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range(s) listed is just one component of Moog's total compensation package for employees.
