The Role:

As an EVS Shift Manager, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the daily operations of our environmental services department. You will lead a team of dedicated EVS staff, ensuring cleanliness, sanitation, and safety throughout our facilities. This position requires strong leadership skills, attention to detail, and a passion for maintaining a pristine environment.

Responsibilities:



  • Responsible for supervising staff and the overall daily management of a designated shift. Supports, administers and manages operational goals and monitors achievements of performance and profit objectives.
  • Create effective and efficient schedules, while maintaining labor costs, meeting staffing objectives and achieving guest satisfaction.
  • Responsible for distributing keys and supplies to the staff on assigned shift; make sure equipment is signed out/in properly at beginning and end of shift and ensure the proper use of supplies and equipment at all times.
  • Ensures the day-to-day cleaning of the property is performed to established standards; also ensuring deep cleaning activities are performed with minimal impact to operations, during applicable shift. Inspects completed work.
  • Responsible for ordering supplies and maintaining appropriate inventory and par levels.
  • Responsible for ensuring OSHA standards are followed, to include training all team members in the proper techniques of using chemicals; make sure all bottles are labeled properly and ensure chemical bottles have proper chemical labels.Maintain all work areas and ensure equipment is free of safety violations; report any hazardous conditions or broken equipment immediately.
  • Enthusiastically supports, actively promotes, and demonstrates superior customer service in accordance with department and company standards and programs.
  • Ensures customer service standards are followed by all team members and addresses issues as they arise.
  • Responsible for ensuring compliance with all regulatory compliance within area of responsibility and reporting potential issues to management.Maintains strict confidentiality in all departmental and company matters.


Qualifications:



  • Minimum two years supervisory experience in EVS or related field.
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
  • Knowledge and experience of cleaning products and/or equipment necessary to successfully perform job.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Proven history of success in a demanding environment

    Experience
    3 - 5 years: Familiarity with cleaning chemicals, equipment, and best practices for various types of facilities (e.g., hospital, hotels, corporate offices). (required)
    2 - 3 years: Proven experience in a supervisory or a team lead role within EVS or a related field. (required)
    3 - 5 years: Experience in environmental services, custodial, or janitorial roles. (required)
