Job Description

Job Summary:

Oversees the development, planning, and execution of maintenance activities, both reactive and proactive, performed on production equipment. Ensures the effective use of materials, equipment, and personnel in maintaining production equipment to produce quality products at minimum costs. Acts as liaison with Manufacturing Engineering in the installation / implementation of new equipment and manufacturing processes. Develops systems to maintain reports and record keeping of company assets including spare parts. Selects, develops, and evaluates maintenance personnel to ensure the efficient repair and operation of production equipment.

Schedule: 1st shift Mon-Fri 7am-4:30pm

Responsibilities and Essential Functions:

The Maintenance Supervisor provides direction and support to the Manufacturing Operations in the areas of tooling, equipment, equipment performance, repair, replacement, production downtime, preventative maintenance, process improvements, and automation. This position will be leading a team of Equipment Maintenance Technicians to provide service to our internal clientele for equipment repairs, changes, and projects.

  • Provides training, direction, and development of Manufacturing Engineering Technicians
  • Coordinate and lead all maintenance activities for production equipment including planned, unplanned, and regular preventative maintenance
  • Effectively communicate, plan, and work with all levels of management with a 24-hour plant setting to ensure our equipment can produce quality product with limited production downtime
  • Communicate and coordinate repair activities with OEMs
  • Maintain proper safety compliance paperwork for contractors performing repairs or installations in the Mequon plant
  • Assist in the design, installation and maintenance of Electronic Assembly areas and other production lines
  • Provide technical floor support to meet quality and productivity standards
  • Ensure machine programming and software maintenance to a high standard
  • Review process data to ensure process control, follow through, and execution
  • Assist in the coordination and implementation of new equipment installations and manufacturing process changes in the facility.
  • Update and maintain machine programs for equipment process improvements
  • Adopting new technologies to enhance performance and to leverage knowledge and information
  • Fostering an environment where technological innovations are recognized and rewarded

Skills:

  • Ability to accept change and adapt to a variety of assignments in a fast-paced environment
  • Capability for MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and Microsoft Outlook
  • Ability to be self-directing, manage time and priorities effectively, take initiative, exercise good judgment, and manage multiple priorities to meet deadlines
  • Effective communication (verbal and written), interpersonal and collaboration skills
  • Interest and ability to thrive in a high energy team environment with strong aptitude for interaction

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job opening

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience in maintenance and/or maintenance supervision
  • Experience in a manufacturing facility
  • Experience with surface mount manufacturing processes and process improvement techniques
  • Experience with programming industrial controls
  • Experience in Managing Direct Reports
  • Basic understanding of computer control system hardware, software, and diagnostic tools such as graphic terminals, PC program terminals and the ability to utilize these devices as analytical tools
  • Experience with SAP
