Hours: Monday - Friday Days


Responsibilities

The Supervisor is responsible for managing the daily operations of the Medical Assistant Float Pool, ensuring efficient workflows, high-quality patient care, and compliance with federal and state regulations. This role oversees staffing, scheduling, and resource allocation, while fostering professional development and cross-training opportunities for Medical Assistant staff. The Supervisor works closely with clinic leadership to support organizational goals and provide administrative assistance to Clinic Directors as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Direct daily operations of the Float Pool, including calendar and workflow management, to maintain smooth and efficient clinic coverage.
  • Partner with clinic leadership to optimize staffing levels, coordinate cross-departmental support, and ensure appropriate resource allocation.
  • Lead staff development initiatives, including cross-training, BLS/ACLS certification coordination, and monitoring of required training completion.
  • Track and ensure compliance with Relias training for both new hires and current team members.
  • Support organizational projects and initiatives that align with strategic goals and core values.
  • Provide administrative support to Clinic Directors, including:
    • Reviewing presets for accounting
    • Scheduling and coordinating annual evaluations
    • Organizing and facilitating staff meetings
  • Assist with recruitment by screening resumes, scheduling interviews, and participating in the selection process.
  • Manage payroll-related functions such as timecard reviews, overtime monitoring, approvals, and attendance/PTO tracking.


Qualifications

Education: High school diploma or equivalent required. Associates or Bachelor's degree preferred.

Experience: Three (3) to five (5) years of work experience in the medical front office setting; Two (2) plus years of supervisory experience preferred; Multi-phone system; Knowledge of medical setting; Computer experience - Scheduling experience preferred.
