The University of Arizona Global Campus (UAGC) is hiring a Content Developer to join its Communications and Strategic Engagement team. This role supports social media engagement, community management, and content development across internal and external channels. Responsibilities include collaborating on publishing and monitoring content, engaging with audiences, and creating impactful communications to boost student recruitment, retention, and brand awareness. Ideal candidates are strong communicators who are organized, tech-savvy, and able to support multiple team functions.

Duties and Responsibilities:



  • Social Media and Community Engagement: Support community management across social platforms (e.g., Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, X), including responding to comments and DMs, moderating student groups, and engaging in livestream events. Monitor sentiment and share community insights to inform broader strategy.

  • Content Creation and Development: Write and edit compelling copy for social media, blog outlines, email snippets, and internal communications. Assist in content ideation and collaborate with design resources to produce campaign visuals and assets.

  • Storytelling and Student Highlights: Develop and curate short-form student success stories and testimonials that reinforce student-centered messaging across marketing and internal channels.

  • Editorial and Campaign Coordination: Maintain editorial calendars and ensure timely execution of communications by managing asset coordination, approvals, and publishing logistics.

  • Cross-Channel Reporting and Support: Assist with performance tracking, content engagement reports, and coordination with SEO, web, and email teams to ensure cohesive storytelling across digital platforms.



Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:



  • Written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft engaging, brand-aligned content for social media, blogs, emails, and internal messaging.

  • Knowledge of social media management, community engagement, and basic content design tools like Canva, along with strong organizational skills to manage editorial calendars and cross-functional coordination.

  • Skills in adaptability, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, remote environment.



Minimum Qualifications:



  • 1-2 years of experience in communications, social media, marketing, or content development, along with strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills.

  • Candidates should be proficient in major social media platforms, understand engagement strategies, and be comfortable working remotely with multiple stakeholders.

  • A portfolio showcasing writing or content work is also required.

RATE OF PAY: $53,039 - $66,299

COMPENSATION TYPE: Salary at 1.0 full-time Equivalence (FTE)

GRADE : 7

COMPENSATION GUIDANCE:

The Rate of Pay Field represents the University of Arizona's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. The University considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role and the associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, education/training, skills, and internal equity.

The Grade Range represents a full range of career compensation growth over time in this position and grade. The university offers compensation growth opportunities within the pay grade under our annual salary increase programs. The grade range for this position is $53,039 - $66,299. Each unit typically sets starting pay between the minimum and midpoint upon hire as reflected in the Rate of Pay field above.

Notice of Availability of the Annual Security and Fire Safety Report:

In compliance with the Jeanne Clery Campus Safety Act (Clery Act), each year the University of Arizona releases an Annual Security Report (ASR) for each of the University's campuses. These reports disclose information including Clery crime statistics for the previous three calendar years and policies, procedures, and programs the University uses to keep students and employees safe, including how to report crimes or other emergencies and resources for crime victims. As a campus with residential housing facilities, the Main Campus ASR also includes a combined Annual Fire Safety report with information on fire statistics and fire safety systems, policies, and procedures.
