Davinci SI Roles and Responsibilities

The primary objective for this role is to coordinate and manage the Davinci 3.0 Web Application that is currently in development and get it over the finish line into production. A strong management and development background is needed in order to properly coordinate all the different skillsets and personnel that are instrumental in the success of this project. Currently the team is made up of front-end developers, backend ETL development, a UI/UX team, cloud infrastructure team and low - high environments. There is also some smaller scale tool development that taking place which is also crucial to the success of Davinci and would fall under the scope of this SI role.

High level duties

  • Run sprint planning via JIRA board (Bi-Weekly). Ensure tickets are assigned to team members and follow the current path forward to meet the MVP requirements.
  • JIRA ticket management - Create/manage epic level tickets, which includes flushing out tasking ticket small enough and detailed enough in scope to be completed in a sprint cycle. Tickets should include acceptance criteria that can be used in testing to validate requirements being met. This also includes the management of the backlog to ensure duplicates aren't being created and new tickets are vetted for current standards.
  • Ensure that the production schedule stays on track and identifies risks/mitigations for meeting development milestones.
  • Run daily SCRUM meeting to identify progress and blockers for members of the team
  • Coordinate the UI/UX teams' design schedule and ensure it stays on pace with the software tool development and follows the MVP requirements document
  • Software testing - Ensures the sprint deliverable satisfies the requirements identified in the JIRA tasking tickets.
  • Coordinate with the Davinci ISSE - Team is currently in ATD status, working towards ATO. The SI will ensure that the scheduled tasking for ATO submittals is performed by the various members of the development teams.

Day-to-Day with your Colleagues:

  • Flush out and document application requirements from customer requests, while coordinating with the product manager to ensure tasking is within scope of project.
  • Attend daily Scrum meetings to go over current tasking and identify any blockers on current/future tasks.
  • Demonstrate any software deliverables to the product manager/team at the end of the sprint cycle.
  • Implement new application features based on customer requirements.
  • Work with UI/UX experts and power users to build anintuitive and well researched application.
  • Test application features as they are developed to ensure requirements are being met.
  • Work with other front-end and back-end developers on the team to ensure the technical requirements are met in the overall application architecture.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or related area of study
  • Minimum 5 years of experience
  • Active/current TS/SCI with required polygraph
  • Willingness to work onsite full time
  • US citizenship required

The successful candidate's starting pay will fall within the salary range provided below and is determined based on job-related factors, including, but not limited to, the experience, qualifications, knowledge, skills, geographic work location, and market conditions. Candidates with the minimum necessary experience, qualifications, knowledge, and skillsets for the position should not expect to receive the upper end of the pay range.

* The base pay for this position within the Washington, DC metropolitan area is: $137,000.00 - $228,000.00 annually.

For all other states, we use geographic cost of labor as an input to develop market-driven ranges for our roles, and as such, each location where we hire may have a different range.
