This position identifies how to drive memberships as well as how to achieve favorable revenue outcomes by creating coordinating and helping implement annual marketing plans and membership promotional initiatives to drive membership rates up. In addition, manages a team of fitness staff and oversees the design and implementation of fitness and wellness programs for members of the Medical Fitness Center. This role critically impacts to the Medical Fitness Center's success by setting operational objectives, developing strategy, and ensuring policies and procedures are followed by staff members. |

Manages and coaches a team of fitness staff including health fitness specialists, instructors, and trainers by delegating tasks, evaluating performance, and providing feedback, Engages in selling memberships, utilizing effective sales techniques and strategies to drive membership acquisition to increase the organizations membership base and revenue. Designs and manages fitness programs such as personal training and group exercises that are aligned with operational objectives. Develops the center?s membership retention strategy, including promotional strategies, utilization tracking and fitness assessments for the entire member population, to meet financial targets and generate maximum participation in all fitness activities and programs. Maintains a comprehensive lead tracking system for all membership inquiries and prospects to ensure that every potential member interaction is captured and has a follow-up, leading to a higher conversion rate and greater membership growth. Encourages the fitness staff to develop a wide range of fitness related seminars, clinics, and incentive-based programs to drive engagement. Sets and tracks clear weekly, monthly, and annual sales goals to ensure progressive and attainable targets. Oversees an internal system for repairing machines and malfunctioning exercise equipment to facilitate equipment maintenance and improve member satisfaction. |
EDUCATION: |
Required: Bachelor's Degree in physical education, recreation, health or exercise science or related field. |
EXPERIENCE: |
Required: Two years experience working in a facility related to health club, recreation, education, business administration, health education, physical education. Background in physiological assessment, exercise prescription, and health promotion. Preferred: Two years of supervisory experience. |
LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRY/LISTING: |
Required: Personal Training Certification, such as ACSM, NASM, AFFA, or other NCCA; BLS (CPR)-American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider. BLS (CPR)-American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider. Preferred: Certification as ACSM Certified Exercise Physiologist (ACSM EP-C) preferred. |
