We are seeking a Software Engineer/Analyst to support the Short and Intermediate Effectors for Layered Defense Project Office (SHIELD). You will advise and assist the US Government in the development of an interceptor program and interceptor integration onto an existing launcher platform. You will support multidisciplinary Integrated Product Teams to develop solutions that support developmental and operational goals. You will coordinate with government Task Managers and other stakeholders to guide analytic, design, and development efforts, ensuring all deliverables meet mission-critical standards in performance and quality. You coordinate within multidisciplinary Integrated Product Teams to develop solutions that support developmental, test, and operational goals. Systems Engineering and Technical Assistance (SETA) support:

• Weapon systems engineering processes and Army weapon system development standards
• Software requirements development, analysis, and compliance verification processes
• Agile software development processes
• Software testing, procedure evaluation and results analysis
• Serve as technical interface with government customers to define scope, validate analysis, and coordinate tasking.
• Produce and review technical reports, presentations, and briefings for internal and external audiences.

Required

• BS or BA degree
• 12 years of related experience
• Hands-on experience with Java, C/C++, and/or Python
• Some travel
• Must have an in-scope DoD Secret security clearance
