SALARY RANGE: $89,668 - 112,085 POSITION SUMMARY: This position has full authority and responsibility for project profits and losses and manages all aspects of assigned ship repair projects. The individual provides primary customer interface throughout the project. Through project team members, manages the application of labor and materials to achieve timely, better-than-bid results and assure customer satisfaction. JOB SCOPE: The role operates within general parameters, but must use sound judgment and independent decision making when carrying out job responsibilities. Has the ability to influence and recommend modifying existing protocols. Typically manages projects that range from $.5M - $5M and that frequently last 6 weeks or longer. The incumbent is held accountable for the overall guidance and consistency across projects to ensure profitable performance of the work is achieved. The incumbent has profit and loss responsibility for his/her projects as well as, a critical role in securing revenue for the Company. Failure to meet the expectations of the customer could result in significant loss of future business. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY: The position manages as many as fifty employees through subordinate supervisors. Those managed have varying degrees of technical expertise and reading/writing skills, including professional level and hourly craft employees. The role operates at a more senior oversight level than hands on supervision. However, the incumbent's operational range must be able to reach from details to strategic levels. INTERPERSONAL CONTACTS: The Project Integrator coordinates his/her efforts with managers and supervisors at all levels in the business unit and with support services managers. The incumbent must be effective at influencing and collaborating with other managers and peers not in the direct line of authority in order to perform successfully. The position represents the Company through formal and informal interactions with the customer. Additionally, the individual interacts with industry peers on a less frequent basis. CERTIFICATES, LICENSES AND REGISTRATIONS:None required. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Work is conducted in a dynamic, fast-paced shipyard with moderate to loud noise levels from production activity in the shipyard. The individual will be required to be in production areas in yard and onboard ships. He/she must be able to walk to and from job sites. The person must be able to climb inclined stairways and vertical ladders; to enter confined areas and tanks; to work at eights.He/she may be required to work more than 8-hour shifts and weekend. The incumbent must be able to frequently bend, squat, crawl, twist and may be required to lift up to 50 pounds. There may be local travel and out-of-town travel (including air travel) up to 5% of the time with notice.
