Responsibilities

The Peraton Proposal Center has an exciting opportunity for a highly talented Director of Content Strategy with proven experience working with pursuit teams on Content Planning that results in creating compliant and compelling proposal narratives in response to Federal Government solicitations. This position is based in Herndon, VA with the flexibility of a hybrid schedule.

Responsibilities:

    Integrates generative AI into enterprise content development to drive efficiency, quality, and strategic impact
  • Supports pursuit teams in Content Planning and developing compliant annotated outlines that direct writers to create compelling narrative to answer how we will deliver and the customer benefits of our solution for RFPs, RFIs, Task Orders, Offering Descriptions, and other client-facing responses
  • Engages with Capture Manager, Proposal Manager, Lead Solution Architect, BDE, and other pursuit team members to develop an annotated outline that allows corporate/sector leadership to approve so writers can be directed to develop compliant/compelling narrative
  • Works with writers - contractors, account team members, etc. - to develop content that is highly scored, clearly mapping our proposed solution and customer benefits to the solicitation instructions and evaluation criteria.
  • Collaborates with subject matter experts to describe solutions, methods and complex business and technical concepts that answer how we will deliver and the benefits to the customer.
  • Contributes to the development and continuous improvement of the proposal writing community regarding processes, tools, and templates.
  • Works with stakeholders at all levels, including senior leadership, to facilitate knowledge sharing and improve content development processes.


Qualifications

Required:

  • Minimum of 16 years relevant experience in a professional setting
  • Active Top Secret Clearance with SCI eligibility
  • Must be an innovative content leader with a proven record of integrating advanced automation and generative solutions into enterprise content development.
  • Expertise in leveraging tools to accelerate proposal creation, enhance narrative quality, and ensure compliance with government requirements
  • Skilled in leading high-performing teams, collaborating with Capture Managers, and Lead Solution Architects
  • Expertise in developing scalable workflows that streamline content production
  • Experience in designing and delivering enterprise-wide AI training programs focused on responsible use, custom prompt engineering, and strategic application
  • Must be committed to fostering a culture of continuous improvement, professional development, and cross-functional collaboration to align content strategy with business goals and customer needs

Target Salary Range

$146,000 - $234,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual's experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
