Responsibilities
- Support the administration, continuous monitoring, and reporting using the agency's cyber tools.
- Be vocal in the team: leverage experience and industry best practices to strengthen and enhance the agency's security posture.
- Provide technical support to monitor, correlate, identify, mitigate, manage, track and support processes for security incidents.
- Support cybersecurity enterprise architecture development, including review and creation of documentation, design architecture diagrams, and implementation recommendations of cyber tools.
- Perform software assessments with an eye on risk identification and mitigation.
- Manage Office 365 Exchange quarantine queue and web proxy whitelist requests.
- Manage email alerts by agency's cybersecurity toolset. Triage and escalating where needed.
Qualifications
- Experience supporting vulnerability management activities with Nessus Security Center.
- Able to build strong relationships with lead teams and individuals without direct reporting relationships.
- Able to work independently to complete assigned tasks and document new procedures as needed.
- Excellent written and oral communications skills and ability to articulate and present information to all levels of management and staff.
- Two years of experience operating in a Windows Server and Active Directory environment.
- Two years of experience administrating Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) environments.
- Two years of experience with Splunk Enterprise.
- Two years of experience with Tenable Nessus.
Desired Skills
- Experience administering STIG hardened Red Hat Linux (RHEL) environments.
- Experienced in two or more: PowerShell, Python, Ansible and bash/shell scripting.
- Experience with ServiceNow projects, incidents and change management processes.
- Experience performing software assessments.
- Experience with one or more of the following tools:
- Nutanix
- CyberArk Privileged Access Management (PAM)
- SailPoint IIQ
- Zscaler Zero Trust solutions
- CrowdStrike
- F5 Big IP
- Ability to identify and advocate for process improvement opportunities to the team and government.
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field.
- CompTIA Security+ or other cybersecurity certification.
Clearance:
- Must be eligible to hold a Public Trust clearance.
Work Location:
- Tele-Commute ok however must be able to attend on-site meetings in Washington, DC,
