Corporate Communications Associate

This role collaborates with departments across the organization to produce engaging content, maintain communication channels, and positively drive employee engagement through compelling, engaging storytelling that reflects Trex's mission.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

• Support the development and execution of the Company's internal communications strategy.
• Deliver clear, consistent messaging about key initiatives and company news and updates across internal channels.
• Collaborate with all departments to assist with their communications needs.
• Assist with collecting information for and crafting compelling content for internal and external channels that showcases Trex's impact, mission, and culture.
  
  
  
  • Content will include written articles, human interest stories, social media posts, graphics, and photos.
  
  
  
  
• Assist with employee programs, events, and activities to positively drive employee engagement.
• Other duties as assigned.

EXPERIENCE

We are looking for someone with 0-3 years or relevant experience in content development, storytelling, news writing, or a related role. A bachelor's degree in communication, marketing, or similar is preferred. They will also have demonstrated experience with promoting content through multiple internal and external channels including social media, using collaborative project management platforms like Asana and Trello, and proficiency with Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite Projects (Photoshop, Premiere Pro, etc.)

  A creative eye for sleek, eye-catching design of print and digital graphics including fliers, posters, and digital slides.

  
  

Preferred Skills & Qualifications:

• Experience with videography and understanding of video editing principles.
• Previous journalism or news writing experience.
• Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite programs including but not limited to Photoshop and Premiere Pro highly preferred.

Physical Requirements:

1. Remain in a seated or stationary position for extended periods.
2. Ability to work for extended periods of time, leveraging office tools such as computers.
3. Ability to host conference calls.
4. Ability to travel via car, plane, train, bus.
5. Must be able to lift and carry or otherwise move 50 pounds occasionally.

SALARY

Base Salary Range: $47,000 - $55,000 annually.

The salary range provided serves as a general guideline for potential compensation for this position. It reflects the base salary and does not account for other benefits or additional compensation opportunities that may apply. This role is also eligible for further compensation through an annual/sales bonus, in addition to the base salary.
