As a Security Guard Armed Government Driver in Bell Gardens, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government and more .

As a valued member of the Allied Universal team, you will play a vital role in maintaining a secure environment at a government location. In this patrol armed post, you will conduct regular patrols throughout the property, helping to deter security-related incidents and remaining highly visible to support a sense of order. Your responsibilities will include monitoring access points, responding to incidents, and interacting with the public and staff in a professional manner. This position is both armed and requires driving, so you will be entrusted with upholding strict protocols while operating company vehicles and carrying out your duties. Pay Rate: $26.81 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at government locations.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, while maintaining a professional presence as an armed patrol officer.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around government buildings and their perimeters to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and control entry to restricted areas in accordance with established protocols.
• Document and report security-related incidents, observations, and activities as required by Allied Universal and client site procedures.
• Collaborate with law enforcement and/or emergency responders when necessary, following established communication protocols.
• Remain alert to potential security-related threats and hazards, taking appropriate action as outlined in post orders and procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must have at least one year of security-related experience.
• Must possess a valid armed guard card or license as required by state and/or local regulations.
• Pepper spray certification is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• A valid driver's license is required and must meet Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security-related training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
