Here's what you'd do:

• Responsible for performing the physical or administrative tasks supporting the shipping, receiving, storing, and distributing materials, parts, supplies, and equipment, rejecting unsatisfactory items where necessary.
• Within parameters, routing and arrangements for shipments are determined, considering factors such as the nature of shipped items, method of handling, size, urgency, and cost.
• Consults the rate schedule for specific rates depending on the method of shipment and the distance shipped.
• Assesses the most economical and efficient common or contract carrier to transport shipments.
• Calculates and records storage, redelivery, and other applicable charges.
• Reroute urgent shipments of an urgent nature or arrange for special delivery at the destination.
• Prepares and maintains records of products shipped and tracks shipments.
• Receives incoming materials, unpacks, and checks goods received against purchase orders or invoices.
• Verifies quantity, weight, and conformance of materials to stated identifications.
• Maintains records of received goods, processes freight bills, packing sheets, and other documents.
• Stocks and distributes materials in inventory and on manufacturing lines.
• Perform wood shop functions such as operating power saws and nail guns in building skids and crates.
• Developing support for individual contributors.
• Works under general supervision.
• Work is less structured within identified boundaries and procedures.
• Identifies problems and issues in straightforward situations.
• Less detailed instructions are provided, and moderate peer review is needed.
• Communicates with contacts typically within the department on matters that involve obtaining or providing information requiring explanation or interpretation to understand and reach an agreement.
• Follows established processes to complete tasks.
• Escalates issues to the supervisor for resolution.
• Works to achieve operational targets within the job area, which impacts the overall achievement of results for the team.
• Work is somewhat limited in scope, typically on smaller, less structured task-related activities.

Here's what you'll get:

Pay: $20.00 - $23.00/hr.

Hours: 9/80.

Length: Temp to Perm (11 months).

• High School Diploma or GED with at least 4 years of experience.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in packing.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in an MRP.

• Associate Degree.

• Knowledge of material handling procedures and Environmental Health and Safety requirements.
• Manufacturing Environment.
• Control MRP or other MRP experience.

• Good communication skills.
• ESD Training.
