Are you an experienced forklift operator with leadership skills? Staffmark is hiring a Warehouse Forklift Lead Operator to join a top-tier logistics team in Joliet, IL. This direct-hire opportunity offers career growth, stable hours, and excellent benefits-all in a climate-controlled facility.

Pay: $22 - $25 per hour | Direct Hire

Schedule: 2nd Shift | Monday - Friday | 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM

What You'll Do:



  • Lead, guide, and support a team of forklift operators.
  • Assign daily tasks and ensure operational efficiency.
  • Train new team members on safety protocols and equipment use.
  • Operate powered industrial trucks (stand-up, clamp, gas, or electric).
  • Conduct daily safety checks and maintain clean, functional equipment.
  • Safely move, load, and unload materials throughout the warehouse.
  • Accurately pull, stage, and ship materials.
  • Track inventory movement and assist with cycle counts.
  • Ensure correct product types and quantities per shipment.
  • Enforce OSHA standards and internal safety rules.
  • Report unsafe conditions or incidents immediately.
  • Follow all GMPs and customer-specific loading requirements.
  • Work closely with Customer Service and other departments.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace.



What You'll Bring:



  • High school diploma or GED
  • 2+ years of experience as a forklift operator in a lead role
  • Certification in operating forklifts (or ability to obtain)
  • Familiarity with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS)
  • Ability to wear required PPE (steel-toe shoes, gloves, eyewear, etc.)
