Job Summary

The Production Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily manufacturing operations with a strong emphasis on clear, consistent, and proactive communication. This role ensures production efficiency, quality standards, and safety compliance while fostering collaboration across shifts, departments, and sites. The supervisor leads the production team, coordinates workflow, resolves issues, and drives continuous improvement, all while maintaining open lines of communication with managers, peers, and direct reports to support operational success. This role is onsite Monday through Thursday6:00AM-4:30PM.

Primary Duties

  • Lead and supervise production staff, setting clear expectations and maintaining open communication to ensure alignment with operational goals.
  • Collaborate daily with managers and other supervisors to review production schedules, address challenges, and coordinate cross-shift activities.
  • Facilitate effective communication between shifts to ensure continuity, share updates, and resolve issues promptly.
  • Ensure technicians are properly trained, equipped, and informed to perform their roles safely and efficiently.
  • Conduct regular quality checks and provide prompt feedback to technicians; empowered to halt production to address quality concerns.
  • Evaluate technician performance through regular reviews, coaching, and corrective actions to drive accountability and improvement.
  • Analyze production data and trends, communicating insights and implementing continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Promote a culture of safety by ensuring proper use of protective equipment and adherence to safety protocols.
  • Maintain compliance with company policies, safety standards, and housekeeping practices.
  • Participate in recruitment, interviewing, and hiring of production staff, ensuring clear communication of role expectations.
  • Foster collaboration and communication across sites to share best practices and align on production strategies.
  • Support team efforts by performing related duties outside of assigned priorities as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education / Experience

  • 3+ years of experience in manufacturing environment
  • 1+ years of supervisory experience preferred
  • Advanced education preferred
