Sr. Associate Counsel - Regulatory Risk and Compliance

We're looking for a thoughtful and experienced attorney to help guide our teams through the complex world of regulations and compliance. This role plays a key part in making sure we stay on top of legal requirements across our manufacturing, retail, and construction operations. If you have a background in construction law and know your way around the building materials industry, we'd love to hear from you.

Offer legal advice on compliance matters across manufacturing, environmental, safety, retail, and construction operations.
• Help build and improve compliance programs.
• Stay up to date on changing laws and regulations, and share practical guidance with teams across the business.
• Support risk management strategies and help shape company initiatives.
• Work closely with operations, sales, and safety teams to identify and reduce legal and compliance risks.
• Assist with environmental, health, and safety (EHS) compliance.
• Provide legal input on product safety, warranties, and construction defect claims.
• Coordinate with outside counsel and regulatory agencies when needed.
• Help create training and educational materials to foster a strong compliance culture.
• Jump in on other legal projects as needed.

• JD from an accredited law school.
• Licensed to practice law in at least one U.S. state and eligible for licensure in Minnesota.
• 5+ years of legal experience, ideally in regulatory compliance, risk management, or construction law.
• Solid understanding of regulations in manufacturing and construction (e.g., OSHA, EPA, state building codes).
• Strong communication, negotiation, and analytical skills.
• Comfortable working independently and with teams in a fast-moving, hands-on environment.
• High ethical standards and good judgment.

• Experience as in-house counsel in manufacturing or construction.
• Compliance certifications (like CCEP, CRCMP, CRMP, GRCP).
• Background in safety, sustainability, or environmental compliance.
• Familiarity with enterprise risk management (ERM) frameworks.
