Job Description We're excited to announce a newly created opportunity at Argo for a talented and business-minded Attorney to join our dynamic legal team. This role can be based in one of the following Argo's offices (strong preference for Chicago or New York City): Denver, Bermuda, Omaha, Los Angeles, or Richmond, VA. This is an in-office position which will allow the successful candidate to collaborate with internal stakeholders and business partners, share ideas and jointly develop strategies, and be available for spontaneous legal and compliance questions. The ideal candidate will combine strong business judgment with practical knowledge of insurance products and regulatory compliance, while maintaining a solutions-oriented, customer-service mindset. Building and sustaining effective internal relationships is central to the role, complementing legal and compliance expertise and enabling the team to deliver meaningful value to the business. The candidate should have experience in insurance-related transactions, including familiarity with various distribution channels such as MGAs, Programs, and Fronting arrangements, and a proven ability to negotiate a wide range of contracts, from vendor and distribution agreements, M&A, and real estate or leasing matters, to those safeguarding company assets and information. Attorneys with experience in both admitted and non-admitted insurance products will thrive in this environment. While not a primary focus of the role, governance experience, and policy drafting skills will add meaningful value to the team. You'll be joining a high-performing, collaborative, and personable team that values professional banter, partnership, and delivering superior customer service. The base salary range provided below is for hires in those geographic areas only and will be commensurate with candidate experience. Pay ranges for candidates in other locations may differ based on the cost oflaborin that location. In addition to base salary, all employees are eligible for an annual bonus based on company and individual performance as well as a generous benefits package.
