Boiler Operator (Full Time) Nights

**This position can be filled as a Level I, II or III based on experience.

Listed qualifications below are for the Level III role**

Starting pay $25.68 to $38.52 depending on qualifications

This will be a 3^rd shift position, 10pm-6:30am, 10 days on, 4 days off, working every other weekend

Overview:

This is a highly skilled position requiring advanced knowledge of boiler, HVAC, refrigeration, electrical distribution, and control system maintenance and operation. The skills required for this position will allow the incumbent to resolve repair issues independently with little to no supervision. Utilizes exceptional customer service and communication skills. The purpose of this position is to ensure a safe working environment and support an exceptional Environment of Care for Mercy.

Minimum Required Qualifications

• Education: None
• License: Vaild Driver's License for all Mercy locations
• Experience:3 to 5 years commercial experience working with HVAC, boilers, or refrigeration equipment.
• Certification/Registration:EPA-approved Universal Certification for handling Refrigerants.
• Other Skills and Knowledge:-
  • Requires oral and written communication skills to communicate with customers and follow instructions.
  • Verbal ability required to read and understand technical manuals. Ability and willingness to teach or conduct learning sessions as needed.
  • Numerical ability required to make calculations for testing, installation, measurement, estimation, and repair of equipment.
  • Ability to prioritize work assignments, conceptualize and formulate finished product.
  • Form perception is required when measuring and installing parts and equipment.
  • Requires knowledge and use of various computer software such as Outlook, and Mercy work order system.
  • Ability to manage time and materials efficiently. Completes work assignments in a high-quality manner and the lowest cost to Mercy.- Requires exceptional customer service skills and ability to achieve department goals.
  • Spatial ability required to understand forms and relationships when working from blueprints or specifications.- Requires general manual dexterity, basic math knowledge, and mechanical aptitude.
  • Exposure to extreme temperatures, electric shock, and loud noise.

  • Must have general manual dexterity, basic math knowledge, mechanical aptitude, sense of urgency and ownership

  • Class C Tank Operator Training and Certification required for all Mercy locations. Much achieve certification withn 90 days of employment.
  • EPA Universal Certification asrequired by 40CFR, Part 82, Subpart F for all Mercy locations. Must achieve certification within 12 months of employment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Education:High school diploma or equivalent preferred. 2 or more years of training in a Technical or Vocational School.
• Certification/Registration/Licensure:Boiler, HVAC, or Refrigeration.
• Experience: 5 or more years working in a facility maintenance position within a healthcare environment
