Job Summary This Student Services Specialist serves as the central point of contact for the Dual Enrollment Program. Plays a key role in supporting enrollment processes for students under the age of 18, with responsibilities spanning admissions, records, registration, and other enrollment-related functions. Based in a dynamic, fast-paced enrollment center, this position delivers comprehensive support in admissions, records, recruitment, and enrollment to both current and prospective high school students. Exceptional customer service is provided across multiple communication platforms, including in-person, phone, text, email, and on-site at partner high schools. The ideal candidate understands the under 18 Early College Programs and is committed to reducing barriers for students and demonstrates excellence in customer service, inclusion, integrity, and the ability to work independently to achieve departmental goals. This role requires regular interaction with a diverse group of stakeholders, including high school instructors, students, parents, administrators, and college faculty, in support of the college's dual enrollment program. The specialist will provide wraparound services to partner high schools and contribute to the overall coordination and success of Early College Programs. This position is part of the Early College Programs team and reports to Enrollment Services within the Division of Student Affairs. It will also support additional Early College initiatives as needed. Essential Functions 40% - Coordinates, plans, implements, and evaluates the Dual Enrollment program for partner high schools. Provides support and guidance to current and prospective students, parents, and school administrators through various communication channels, including in-person meetings, virtual sessions, phone calls, chat, and email. Supports all aspects of the Dual Enrollment enrollment process, including admissions, placement testing, class registration, financial aid, and related fiscal responsibilities. Collaborates with Enrollment Services departments and High School College Advisors to resolve issues related to the Dual Enrollment application and submission process. 30% - Establishes dual enrollment courses with participating high schools. Performs general office duties including answering phone calls, responding to emails and text messages, creating outreach materials, and preparing and maintaining reports and spreadsheets, such as enrollment cancellations, certificate and degree check sheets. 20% - Assists in the development and delivery of Dual Enrollment program resources, presentations in person/virtually to facilitate registration for dual enrollment and explain the program to all partnered high schools' staff and administrators; correspondence, and promotional materials to diverse audiences in both small and large group settings. 10% - Performs other duties as assigned commensurate to grade of position. Minimum Qualifications Associate's Degree from a regionally accredited institution, and one year full-time of student services or college teaching experience or experience assisting with educational program development and coordination, student advisement, financial aid, customer service, or related student development programs. OR An equivalent combination of the conferred degree and directly related full-time work experience as described above sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above, unless otherwise subject to any other requirements set forth in law or regulation, may be considered. Desired Qualifications 1. Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited institution. 2. Two (2) years of experience working in Student Services or Enrollment Services position at a community college or university 3. Two (2) years of customer service experience with a high degree of contact in-person, telephone, and/or e-mail and working with students and parents from various backgrounds 4. One (1) year or more of experience working with student information systems (SIS or PeopleSoft) 5. One (1) years of experience presenting information and responding to questions from students, parents, employees, and the general public in one-on-one and/or group situations. 6. One (1) or more years of experience preparing, maintaining, and/or interpreting statistical data including databases and spreadsheets Special Working Conditions * Possession of a valid State of Arizona Class D driver's license is required; must meet minimum standards regarding driving: http://maricopa.edu/legal/rmi/vehicle.htm#requirement * Will be required to work at multiple sites or locations. * Will require some travel around the district * Will require some evenings or weekends * Will require prolonged periods of viewing a computer screen * Will be required to lift or carry up to 25lbs How to Apply Applicants are required to submit a cover letter and resume showing how the applicant meets the minimum and desired qualifications.
