The Housing Navigator Supervisor supports the Housing Assistance Department (HAD) by supervising assigned Housing Navigators and ensuring proper coordination of housing opportunities for households across housing subsidy programs at CCH and its partners.

    • Valid driver's license required. This requirement may be waived, if necessary, based on overall candidate experience and current needs of the business.

Essential Job Functions
    • Supervises Housing Navigator role ensuring that performance standards and metrics are being met for an overall positive and professional experience when engaging with Housing Assistance Department.
    • Reads, understands and interprets United States Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) regulations for various programs, specifically PSH, MDCHC, HCV PBV, HCV, RRH, HSP, and other project-based and tenant-based subsidies.
    • Consults regularly with supervisor regarding training needs, operational issues, and programmatic needs.
    • Tracks and coordinates assigned Housing Assistance Department's tasks, projects, and programs.
    • In collaboration with Housing Assistance Department leadership, recruits, hires, and trains new members of the Housing Navigation Division.
    • Assists and collaborates with Program Manager to complete assigned staff performance reviews as necessary with all assigned direct reports.
    • Assists and collaborates with Program Manager to ensure that direct reports comply with assigned training requirements.
    • Conducts auditing, approvals, and in-field shadowing to ensure quality standards are being consistently met by Housing Navigators.
    • Acts as a consultant for Housing Navigators to address complex case needs and collaborates with other resources to resolve those matters.
    • Outreaches and engages program participants who are chronically homeless and disabled within the Denver Metro area within the scope of Housing Navigation.
    • Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications Summary
    • Knowledge of HUD rules and regulations.
    • Knowledge of homeless issues and demonstrated sensitivity to and a desire to work with underserved populations.
    • Knowledge of HIPPA federal and state requirements.
    • Skilled in negotiating and mediating, particularly in sensitive situations. Able to communicate effectively with diverse audiences.
    • Able to pass automobile insurance carrier's motor vehicle record investigation and CBI.
    • Education and Work Experience
    • Bachelor's degree in social service-related field preferred. 2-4 years of experience in human services or homeless services related field may be substituted for education.
    • Prior experience working with HUD regulations and/or subsidized housing programs preferred.
    • Prior experience working with people who are experiencing homelessness or who have come from homelessness preferred.
$31 - $32 an hour
WHERE A CANDIDATE IS PLACED IN THE COMPENSATION RANGE DEPENDS ON TOTAL RELEVANT YEARS OF EXPERIENCE
DRIVING: Must have valid driver's license and clean driving record. X
Working Conditions
This position works in the office and in the community. Working conditions can vary based on weather and
partner agency office environments. When at CCH office working conditions climate controlled.
