 Stage, set up, assemble, test, and install flight hardwarePerform maintenance tasks as required in a variety of roles for fluid systems maintenance, site preventative maintenance, general facilities, and any other general maintenance work as required to maintain an operational spacecraft processing facilityUse precision calibrated tools: torque wrenches, micrometers, and calipersHands-on operations with both large as well as small, fragile assembliesRead and interpret blueprintsPerform work according to procedures, specifications, and test instructionsUse various mechanical tools without instructionCollaborate with Dragon operations engineers to develop and document activitiesProcess crew immediately prior to spaceflight and upon return to EarthEnsure launch services are performed on time, safely and in a professional mannerPerform other related duties, as assigned, for the purpose of ensuring an efficient and effective work environmentWork with a team of technicians and engineers to build safe high-quality vehicles, including ground support systems to enableprocessing of Dragon spacecraft (crew and cargo)Fabricate fluid systems from a schematic or engineering drawing including but not limited to ball valves, check valves, pressure regulators, and pressure gaugesFabricate tubing using 37 flare and medium pressure (cone and tap) fittingsTroubleshoot operational issues found during activation of fluid and mechanical systems.Work with high pressure (up to 10,000psi) systems
 
 BASIC QUALIFICATIONS: 
 
 
 High school diploma or equivalency certificate1+ years of hands-on experience in assembly, test, maintenance, repair and/or installation, OR a certificate from an accredited trade skills program
 
 PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE: 
 
 
 Airframe & Powerplant licenseAssociate degree in aerospace technology or equivalent area of studyAV1200-4 certified for vehicle and electrical ground support equipment terminationsFamiliarity with data acquisition system architecture and terminationsFamiliarity with vehicle electrical ground support equipment architecture and hardwareKnowledge of pressure, temperature and flow measurement devices; mechanical and electrical systemsPrior experience working with launch vehicles, human spaceflight, or supporting hardware ocean recoveryExperience with hypergolic or hazardous systemsSkill in operating and manipulating machinery and various hand and power tools requiring manual dexterityAbility to operate and build a flush cart, proof cart, and leak check cartExperience with forklifts, cranes and heavy equipmentExperience of precision cleaning of parts and tubing assembliesAbility to read and understand technical drawings, manuals and reportsAbility to rapidly change roles/responsibilities while working in a high-paced, challenging work environmentAbility to perform hydrostatic and pneumatic testing

Ability to pass SAR/SCAPE medical qualifications and perform operations in SAR/SCAPEMust be willing to be trained to work around hypergolic propellants (MMH and NTO) and willing to work with hazardous materialsAbility to lift up to 25 lbs. unassistedAbility to work in confined spacesAbility to work at elevated heights (up to 300 feet), including the use of laddersLifting, standing, climbing, bending, grasping, sitting, pulling, pushing, stooping, stretching, and carrying are generally required to perform the functions of this positionTypically exposed to work in extreme outdoor environments - heat, cold, rain, iceWork performed in an environment requiring exposure to fumes, odors, and noise
