Undergraduate Admissions:

The Office of Undergraduate Admissions supports the university in meeting its strategic enrollment goals and fulfilling the UCF Strategic Plan. It is responsible for coordinating the identification, recruitment, admission and enrollment of all undergraduate first-time-in-college, transfer, non-degree, dual enrollment, early admission and non-Florida public institution transient students. The office leverages the UCF brand to market, communicate and engage with talented and academically qualified students who will enrich our community and achieve academic and personal excellence.

The Opportunity:

UCF Undergraduate Admissions seeks a dynamic Admissions Event Manager to join the Communications, Marketing and Visitor Experience team. In this key role, you will plan and oversee campus recruitment events, enhancing engagement with prospective students and supporting student success goals.

Classification Title: Event Manager I

Responsibilities:

Lead Comprehensive Recruitment Event Management:



  • Direct the full life cycle of high-impact, on-campus recruitment events (e.g., Open Houses, receptions, information sessions).

  • Ensure all planning, setup, execution, and follow-up contribute to a seamless and welcoming admissions experience for prospective students and families.




Coordinate Logistics and Operational Excellence:



  • Serve as the primary event lead, managing all operational logistics, including budgeting, vendor coordination, and contract negotiations.

  • Oversee on-site operations and troubleshooting to ensure effective resource allocation and a consistently positive and professional guest experience.




Drive Strategic Event Marketing and Communication:



  • Develop and execute comprehensive event promotion strategies, including creating compelling promotional materials and managing all event-related communications.

  • Utilize the Slate CRM platform to build sophisticated registration portals, deploy targeted communication plans, and support the department's strategic recruitment goals.




Measure, Analyze, and Enhance Engagement:



  • Manage the rigorous assessment of engagement activities by designing, distributing, and analyzing event surveys and data.

  • Provide leadership with actionable, periodic, and ad hoc reports detailing event trends, effectiveness, and participation, and recommend enhancements to service delivery that directly support the university's student success objectives.




Support Divisional Strategic Recruitment:


  • Actively participate in various recruitment efforts, including attending events and collaborating with the Communications, Marketing and Visitor Experience unit to ensure event execution directly aligns with and supports the overarching Undergraduate Admissions and Division of Student Success and Well-Being strategic recruitment plans.



Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree or Master's degree and 4+ years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience pursuant to Fla. Stat. 112.219(6).

Preferred Qualifications:



  • Familiarity with large-scale admissions events such as open houses, campus tours, and recruitment initiatives.

  • Experience in event marketing or project management within higher education, hospitality, marketing, communications, or visitor experience.

  • Demonstrated experience in event planning, data analysis, and strategic planning.

  • Demonstrated leadership in managing event-day operations, assigning responsibilities, and serving as the central point of contact.

  • Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.

This position requires a valid Class E driver's license. This position may involve driving to various locations on and off campus to conduct University business.
