Now Hiring: Assistant Operator Location: Plymouth, IN Schedule: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM \| Rotating Weekends Position Type: Full-Time, Hourly, Non-Exempt Are you mechanically inclined and looking to grow your career in manufacturing? Join our team as an Assistant Operator and play a vital role in helping us deliver high-quality products while maintaining a safe and efficient production environment. What You'll Do: As an Assistant Operator, you'll support the Operator in running the production line, ensuring quality standards are met, and minimizing waste. Your responsibilities will include: Assisting with machine setup and operation Performing quality checks (length/width, vacuum tests, micrometer readings) Operating forklifts, pallet jacks, and core cutting machines Supporting housekeeping and maintenance tasks Staging materials and supplies to reduce downtime Collaborating with team members across shifts for smooth transitions Following all safety protocols and using required PPE What You Bring: Prior manufacturing or warehouse experience Strong mechanical aptitude and math skills Ability to operate forklifts and other industrial vehicles safely Comfortable working in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment Excellent communication and teamwork skills Familiarity with ERP systems like SAP (preferred) Work Environment: Indoor, non-airconditioned facility Heat and humidity may exceed 90F and 80% respectively Exposure to loud noise and moving equipment Frequent standing, lifting (up to 50 lbs), bending, and climbing Education & Experience: High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience required Stable work history preferred If you're ready to be part of a team that values hard work, safety, and continuous improvement, apply today and take the next step in your manufacturing career! #pp1 Diversity and Inclusion We believe in diversity of thought and bringing together other traits and characteristics that make an individual bring a unique experience to Pregis.
