     | Position Summary |  
     
       The incumbent will manage all aspects of the research as it pertains to molecular microbiology and disease modeling, including coordination of challenge studies, oversight of personnel (temporary personnel and student workers), sample collection and processing, testing, analysis and verification of results. The incumbent will be responsible for implementation and maintenance of quality control protocols for all lab processes, management of data, and preparation of reports.
        
        Expertise in microbiology of avian diseases, necropsy, analysis and diagnosis of birds is essential.
