Please note this is a hybrid position. You will work one day a week onsite in our Fairport, New York Office and may work from home/remotely the other four days.

Position Summary:

Responsible for providing expert knowledge and project leadership during the planning, analysis, design, implementation and analysis of enhancements, and maintenance of ConServe's software applications. This position will provide leadership to the development and implementation of processes and procedures that control the introduction of new functionality and improvements upon existing applications, including documentation, standardization and adherence to the system development life cycle process. Responsible for Solution architecture, bridging the gap between business problems and technology solutions with emphasis on collaboration across the ConServe landscape. Responsible for managing assigned IT applications staff and providing direction, mentoring, and performance management.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Plan, direct, coordinate and review the work plan for applications development team across Keep IT Running, Projects and Enhancement activities.
  • Working team leader who participates in all aspects of systems development and support.
  • Work with Business Relationship Leader to understand Business priorities and identify continuous improvement opportunities.
  • Design and implement system modifications to enable the operations needs of ConServe, including support of new business lines and/or departments as well as Client requests.
  • Finding the best technical solution among all possible to solve the existing business problem(s).
  • Describing the structure, characteristics, behavior, and other aspects of software to project stakeholders.
  • Providing specifications according to which the solution is defined, managed, and delivered.
  • Quality control of ConServe's Collection Management System (CCMS) functionality to ensure data integrity and security.
  • Plan, test and implement CCMS modifications, updates and upgrades
  • Prioritize and schedule tasks in best interest of corporate goals. Handle everyday requests in a timely manner to minimize operating disruptions.
  • Mentor and monitor Applications development staff, ensure individuals have training plans and performance management plans that are regularly reviewed.
  • Analyze IT Service desk requests for modifications and strive to leverage existing tool sets for solutions.
  • Adherence to ConServe's Professional Practices Management System (PPMS), Code of Conduct, and Compliance Program

Education:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Master's Degree preferred

Skills/ Requirements:

  • Two (2) years of experience with applications development in a leadership role. Five (5) plus years of experience preferred.
  • Experience as a business analyst, business systems analyst or in the financial services industry preferred
  • Experience in Accounts receivables industry is strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated strong managerial, supervisory, team management and leadership skills with a proven track record of success in a similar working environment.
  • Ability to multitask, team player with a focus on results and fostering a partnership with the Business
  • Ability to act independently to resolve problems
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to present ideas in a collaborative team setting and in a user-friendly language
  • U.S. Citizenship or lawful Permanent Resident alien with three or more years as a permanent resident in the United States.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain Government Security Clearance
  • No conflicts of interest with ConServe or our Clients
Physical Demands:

  • The employee must frequently lift or move up to 25 pounds, occasionally up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift or move up to 100 pounds with assistance.
  • Ability to sit or remain sedentary for your entire work shift (8, 9, or 10 hour shift)
  • Must occasionally be able to bend, move, climb and lie down in awkward positions.
  • Ability to type on a computer for your entire work shift (8, 9, or 10 hour shift)
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit, use and reach with hands, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, stand, talk, see and hear.
  • Ability to listen and talk frequently throughout the day.
  • Ability to drive.
