As a Armed Security Guard - Corrections Patrol in Whiteville, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will help to deter security-related incidents through regular patrols and high visibility at a government location. In this dynamic, armed and driving role, you will be responsible for monitoring the premises, responding to incidents, and providing exceptional support and communication to all individuals onsite. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols around the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor for unusual activity and report observations according to site protocols.
• Assist visitors, staff, and/or contractors with entry procedures and access control requirements.
• Maintain a visible presence to help to deter potential disturbances within the location.
• Interact with law enforcement or emergency personnel as needed in accordance with site guidelines.
• Complete required documentation and incident reports accurately and thoroughly for all security-related activities.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must have at least one year of experience in armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military roles.
• Must be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• An armed guard card or license is preferred.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
