The Business Analyst and Application Support Specialist position provides essential support for the teaching, learning, and technology infrastructure that underpin Fuqua's academic mission. This position directly supports faculty, staff, and students by ensuring that academic technologies and digital tools function smoothly, effectively, and securely.

As a Business Analyst and Application Support Specialist, you will:



  • Train and support instructors on key instructional tools such as Poll Everywhere and Zoom for pedagogical use, including in-class polling, authenticated quizzes, and proctored assessments.
  • Assist with the deployment, troubleshooting, and data interpretation for critical Fuqua applications such as Fuqua Check-In, including side-loading the app on student devices and analyzing attendance data for academic programs.
  • Provide specialized, second-tier support for academic technologies that require configuration beyond the capabilities of front-line support staff.
  • Collaborate with IT teams to characterize complex or urgent academic technology problems, gather user requirements, and develop practical, timely solutions.
  • Support the evaluation and implementation of emerging instructional technologies, including AI tools, to enhance faculty teaching effectiveness and student learning outcomes.
  • Develop and gather requirements from faculty, staff, and students for projects.
  • Develop and update user documentation (websites, documents, and videos) for internal products.
  • Evaluate website and internal application user experience.
  • Collaborate with the technical team to test, document, demonstrate, and implement new software applications and tools
  • Work with faculty and staff to understand the best use of AI technology.
  • Document and consult with faculty and staff on AI technology techniques and resources.



Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Technical expertise sufficient to research, support, and implement tools widely used for teaching
  • Experience with web authoring tools, multimedia tools, presentation software, and streaming video in an academic environment
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to work independently and as a member of a team
  • Problem-solver with the ability to communicate in both technical and non-technical terms
  • Ability to establish good working relationships with a wide range of people within an academic community
