We are hiring a Senior Director, Sales and marketing. This is a remote position based in the U.S.
The Senior Director, Sales is responsible for building the Drager Safety Inc. business in the assigned segment, product area and/or geographic territory through the leadership of a team or teams of regional sales managers and Product/Marketing managers. The Senior Director, Sales also leads the development and implementation of the business field or portfolio Go to Market Plan to achieve annual sales and profitability objectives.
Leadership/Strategic Management
- Implements and/or develops all strategies with or communicated by Management. establishes clear goals and expectations for all direct reports and monitors performance on an on-going basis
- Communicates strategic needs of the division and leverages organizational resources to assist the team.
- Participates in strategic planning activities with Senior Management, Market Managers and Product Managers.
- Develops an Annual sales plan & action plans as needed to address tactical and strategic goals and business issues for the division.
- Successfully manages sales funnels and coaches BDMs in sales funnel management to ensure optimum use of time and resources.
- Aligns sales resources within the division to maximize sales and profits, ensuring we have the right resources in the right places based on market potential
- Communicates strategic needs of the division and draws on organizational resources to assist the team
Value Selling
- Ensures all team members are trained in value selling principles and are applying these skills on a day-to-day basis
- Differentiates Draeger by effectively presenting our products and services as a solution to customer needs and business issues
Relationship Management
- Develops strong relationships with key management at key Draeger customers and/or distributors.
- Develops and maintains a presence with key decision makers at key end-users that are important to the division or Draeger overall.
Behavioral & Communication Skills
- Distributor Management (as applicable to the segment or geography)
- Works with BDMs/RSMs to strengthen overall distributor portfolio. Develop and coach distributor partners to higher levels of performance, coach and eliminate weak distributor partners, and identify and attract new high-performance distributor partners
- Participates with the BDMs/RSM's in the annual planning process and quarterly reviews with key distributors
- Reviews and approves any changes to our distributor partners recommended by the BDMs/RSM's
Marketing
- Develops the regional marketing plan for FGDS in line with the strategy and drive successful execution in partnership with the Sales & Service leadership team.
- Aligns with the respective product management team in Lubeck to ensure local voice of customer and alignment with global Business Field strategy.
- Manages the respective FGDS Product and Marketing team.
Your Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree preferred or the equivalent in education, training and experience.
- Minimum 7-10 years sales leadership experience for technical products and solutions selling capital projects to industry or government (state local federal)
- Experience leading field sales teams/BDM or other team preferred
- Trained and knowledgeable in CRM software for forecasting and managing customer interactions.
- Preferred previous training in selling skills (e.g. Miller Heiman, Spin etc.)
