About the role

The Director of Client Retention & Operations is a strategic and operational leader responsible for strengthening long-term client relationships, ensuring exceptional customer experience, and driving operational excellence across the organization. This role oversees the full lifecycle of client retention initiatives, partners closely with cross-functional teams, and ensured that internal processes, systems, and services delivery consistently meet or exceed client expectations. They will combine strategic thinking with hands-on execution, data-driven decision-making, and a deep passion for cultivating customer loyalty.

As a Director Partner Management and Alliances you will:

  • Develop and lead the Insight's client retention strategy, ensuring alignment with broader business goals
  • Identify retention risks, design proactive engagement plans, and drive initiatives that enhance client loyalty and satisfaction
  • Build strong executive-level relationships with key clients to understand their needs, challenges, and growth opportunities
  • Oversee customer feedback programs and translate insights into actionable improvements
  • Lead operational strategy and continuous improvement efforts across the client lifecycle
  • Optimize internal processes, workflows, and cross-functional handoffs to support seamless service delivery
  • Implement best-in-class operational frameworks, KPIs, and service-level standards to drive efficiency and consistency
  • Partner with Product, Sales, Customer Success, and Support teams to strengthen end-to-end operational performance

What we're looking for

  • Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from a four-year college or university; MBA preferred; or combination of education and experience.
  • 10 years' experience in sales management, in a high-tech or service related industry, with a medium to large organization.
  • Must be knowledgeable of the IT manufacturer base and be familiar with IT market dynamics as well as partner marketing programs.
  • Experience in managing multiple tasks of varying difficulty and complexity.
  • Must be numbers oriented and results driven.
  • Should be able to effectively communicate to all constituencies and levels in written and verbal formats; must be a team player.
  • Must be able to manage remote locations. Some travel required.
