Job Overview:


This position will partner with the Regional HR Director and Plant Manager to provide day-to-day support and coordination for human resources, including staffing, compensation, benefits processing, performance management, training, and employee relations. Drives Employee Engagement and recognition programs at the plant. Administers and coordinates Human Resources support services through the maintenance of records, policies and procedures. Supports benefits administration and maintains the company documentation for company's HRIS system. Effective delivery of Human Resource services such as employee/labor relations, compensation, benefits administration, training and development, safety, workers' compensation and records compliance.



Required Skills



  • Identify Safety needs, build and promote a safety culture at the plant and across the Corry plant.
  • Keep up to date on current Safety trends and best practices in order to suggest and implement improvements to the location Safety practices.
  • Support investigation of work incidents and coordinate improvements in order to proactively prevent future incidents.
  • Build trust-based, collaborative, sustainable relationships with managers and employees.
  • Partner with leaders to identify and assess human resource needs (policies, programs, tools, and resources) and identify opportunities to drive employee engagement, productivity, and improve organizational performance and effectiveness.
  • Provide coaching and guidance to leaders by identifying operation issues and opportunities and provide support to employees and leaders to foster positive team member relations.
  • Develop relationships with employment agencies, universities, and other recruitment sources to help make FXI an employer of choice in the local market.
  • Educate leaders and employees on employment practices and company guidelines/policies, including personnel actions, benefits, salary/compensation guidelines, performance management processes, etc.
  • Drive and administer employee life cycle initiatives from new hire orientation, onboarding, attendance tracking to exit interviews.
  • Drive an employee engagement strategy through establishing short and long-term goals and initiatives in partnership with the manufacturing site leadership team.
  • Ensure leaders and employees adhere to the Company's Code of Business Ethics and company policies that fosters a culture of Customer Service, People, Accountability, Knowledge, and Community Service.
  • Provide communication, advice, assistance and follow-up to employees and leaders on company policies, procedures, and documentation.
  • Ensure data integrity of all employee information by conducting audits of employee data in our HRIS.
  • Help coordinate various employee events and participate in various cross-functional teams.
  • Lead or assist with FXI community service projects and initiatives in partnership with other HR network team members.
  • Monitor industry and HR trends and regulatory updates to drive "Best in Class" HR capabilities.
  • Other duties as assigned.



Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or equivalent.

5-7 years of direct hands-on experience as a HR professional/generalist with prior experience in a manufacturing environment.


Thorough working knowledge of employment law, HR processes and best practices, benefits and an understanding of payroll and compensation.


Ability to collaborate with staff at all levels.


Ability to handle personal, sensitive, and emergency situations in a responsive, professional, and confidential manner.


Ability to manage the full cycle of recruiting, new hire orientation, and benefits enrollment processes.


Ability to manage dynamic workload and multiple projects simultaneously.


Ability to analyze data/HR metrics/EHS metrics to make proposals to improve organizational efficiency.


Ability to manage and lead projects to successful completion - on time, budget, specification, and articulate ROI.


Excellent communication skills - listening, verbal, written, presentation, analytical, and critical thinking.


Knowledge of local, state, and federal employment laws and procedures.


Knowledge of compliance to state and federal wage and hour laws.


Knowledge of and desire to keep watchful eye on HR/EHS industry trends and best practices.


Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS system (ADP preferred) administration and data integrity.


Ability to travel as needed to other corporate locations. (<10%)
