Position Summary
The Regional Manager manages the programs, operations, and staff of the Regional Office in accordance with UIC Policies and Procedures and DSCC Administrative Rules, Policies and procedures.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • 1) Plans, directs and coordinates Regional Office operations for the provision of services for DSCC clients in compliance with DSCC Policies and Procedures. Oversees the fiscal management of business operations by managing the Regional Office budget and expenditures. Participates in the development and implementation of unit/departmental programs, objectives and long-range planning by developing, implementing, and auditing and management system for assuring the provision of the organization's required services. Represents the unit(s) on various internal/external committees as required of position by identifying and coordinating the recruitment, development, and liaison activities with DSCC providers, vendors, and community resources. Coordinates public relation activities in the assigned geographic area and serves on interagency committees. Provides comprehensive reports and detailed analyses for administrative use by reviewing compliance with policies and procedures through a quality assurance process. Manages Regional Office facilities.
  • 2) Administers personnel operations for the Regional Office staff in accordance with University of Illinois Policy and Rules, SUCSS Statute and Rules, and DSCC personnel guidelines. Evaluates and manages the staffing needs of the Regional Office. Conducts hiring and training of new staff. Coordinates and implements staff development and training. Provides ongoing direct and or indirect supervision. Performs staff performance appraisals. Analyzes and adjusts workload and workflow processes for optimal efficiency.
  • 3) Promotes DSCC initiatives, collaboration, and integrated services. Engages the Regional Office staff in interagency initiatives. Provides management input regarding DSCC programs and policies. Serves on committees.

  • Minimum Qualifications

    1. Bachelor's degree in business administration, management, or a field related to the position.
    2. Five years of professional business, financial, and/or managerial work experience.


    (NOTE: A Master's Degree in an area consistent with the duties of the position may be substituted for one (1) year (12 months) of work experience.)

    Bachelor's degree in Nursing, Social Work, or other related field.

    Two years of professional level experience, one of which at an administrative (management) level.
