Essential Job Duties
UNC Chapel Hill's Office is seeking enthusiastic and organized individuals to join our team as Program/Registration Assistants. This is a temporary role supporting various impactful college-access programs for rising high school seniors.

As a Registration Assistant, you will play a crucial role in the successful execution of these summer initiatives. Your responsibilities will include assisting with the setup of registration areas, managing the registration process for program participants, and aiding in the breakdown of materials and equipment at the end of each event.

This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to meaningful programs that support and guide high school students as they explore higher education opportunities.

Work Schedule Monday- Friday 8am-5pm AND May 30th, June 6th, and June 13th 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM
Other Work/Responsibilities
Other duties as needed.
Minimum Experience/Education

  • Assist with the physical setup of registration tables, signage, and program materials.
  • Greet and welcome program participants and their families.
  • Accurately check in and register students for programs.
  • Distribute program materials and provide general program information.
  • Help organize and manage registration flow to ensure smooth operations.
  • Assist with breakdown and cleanup of the registration area after each event.
  • Collaborate effectively with program staff and other assistants to support event success.


Department Required Skills

  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be available for three saturday events,
    May 30th, June 6th, and June 13th
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift or move light materials, with or without reasonable accommodation.


Preferred Years Experience, Skills, Training, Education

  • Previous event or registration experience is preferred but not required.
  • Positive, helpful, and team-oriented attitude.
