Job Summary:

Responsible for a variety of international and domestic tax planning and compliance matters. Responsible for the international subsidiaries' annual tax provision calculations. Manages efficient and effective execution of the global transfer pricing function and performs research and tax planning. Oversees U.S. and international tax compliance procedures and internal controls for the foreign subsidiaries. Executes complex projects from end to end with minimal oversight, including developing facts and a recommended plan of action while working with internal and external points of contact. This position typically works under limited supervision and direction and will regularly exercise discretionary and substantial decision-making authority.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Serves as subject matter expert on tax matters associated with implementation of international projects, including identifying, understanding, communicating and managing from start to finish.
  • Mentors, leads, or manages one or more tax analysts on various projects
  • Compute E&P and tax pools, Subpart F, *956, GILTI, BEAT, FDII, 962 Election, residency and sourcing rules, ECI, Subpart F, PFIC, Foreign Tax Credits, withholding taxes, and tax treaties, etc. and other analysis required to support tax compliance and planning projects
  • Preparation and/or review of work papers to support tax returns (including 5471, 8865, and 8858) and foreign tax credit calculation and documentation, prepared by external service providers.
  • Manages federal and foreign tax audit defense
  • Leads and manages transfer pricing function, including working with external service providers in completion of transfer pricing studies and oversight of intercompany business activities to ensure compliance.
  • Responsible for preparation of the international and annual tax provisions, including FIN 48 reserves.
  • Maintains foreign tax credit model and analysis of earnings and profits, including income sourcing and expense allocation.
  • Performs and directs tax technical research and draft memorandum to document and support conclusions.
  • Analyzes and assists with the implementation of domestic and international tax planning initiatives.
  • Develops and maintains in-depth expertise of federal and foreign tax developments that might impact the Company
  • Builds and improves on tax processes and policies that are aligned with corporate compliance and planning initiatives.

Minimum Job Requirements:

  • Four-year degree or higher in Accounting, Tax, or related field required plus a minimum of 12 years of multinational corporate tax experience; corporate public experience preferred.
  • Must have advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office, specifically Excel.
  • Strong business acumen and analytical skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Well versed in researching and documenting complex tax issues
  • Must be able to pay significant attention to detail, accuracy, and the ability to use judgment and make sound decisions.
  • Able to take ownership and work autonomously.
  • Must be flexible and able to work to meet tight timelines.
  • CPA or advanced degree in Taxation preferred.
  • Familiarity with SAP ERP preferred.
  • Able to both effectively motivate and work as part of a team toward meeting department goals.

Cubic Pay Range:

$150,000.00 - $210,000.00* + benefits.

*Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from our lowest geographic market up to our highest geographic market.

The Cubic pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
