Summer Intern - Safety

Patriot Rail is currently looking for Summer Interns for its Corporate office in Jacksonville, FL. for its Safety Team!

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Will have the Opportunity to support regulatory compliance reviews focusing on OHSA, FRA, and other relevant standards with assistance and guidance from manager.
• Learn and assist in developing, reviewing, and updating EHS/OSHA dedicated policies, procedures, and standards with the help and supervision of manager
• Participate in field audits, site inspections, and safety observations, including supervised travel to aid in the learning process
• Contribute to incident investigations and root cause analyses
• Help organize and deliver EHS training sessions or FOCUS calls

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Proficiency in MS Outlook, Word, Excel and Powerpoint
• Sophomore standing or above in college
• Preferred majors: Safety Management, Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Environmental Health and Safety, or related scientific or analytical fields
• Effective oral and written communication skills
• Must have valid driver's license.
• 18 years of age or older
