Director of Nursing

We are seeking a Director of Nursing, also referred to as a Nursing Director. The Director of Nursing (DON) organizes and administers areas of clinical and patient care services to attain facility's objectives established by hospital administration.

Hours: 8-hour shifts - 8:00am to 5:00pm

Location: Harlingen Medical Center - Harlingen, TX 78550

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (includes, but not limited to):

• Develops and implements hospital plans for providing nursing care, treatment, and clinical services to those patients requiring care treatment and services.
• The DON participates with the management, medical staff and clinical leaders in the facility's decision-making structures and processes.
• The DON implements an effective, ongoing program to measure, assess and improve the quality of nursing care, treatment and services delivered to patients.

Before we go any further, we do have some deal-breakers. You must have:

• Current and valid state license as a Registered Nurse.
• Current BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)-(AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• Minimum of 5 years Acute Care experience.
• Minimum of 2 years previous Administrative experience preferred.
• Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or related field (MHA, MBA in HCM, or other healthcare discipline) required
