Job Description: AMA provides technical support to the U.S. Army's Technology Development Directorate (TDD) at Redstone Arsenal in Huntsville, Alabama. This work supports the development, application, and advancement of high-fidelity modeling and simulation tools used in Army rotorcraft acquisition programs, including Future Vertical Lift (FVL). Key tools such as CREATE-AV Helios are used to analyze rotorcraft aerodynamics, structural dynamics, acoustics, and multidisciplinary interactions. With the recent introduction of GPU-capable Helios, ensuring software correctness, performance, and robustness across CPU and GPU architecture is critical to maintaining confidence in Army rotorcraft modeling and simulation capabilities. About the Project: The Rotorcraft Simulation & Software Quality Engineer will support Army rotorcraft engineering efforts through a dual role: Quality assurance (QA), verification and validation (V&V), and release support for the CREATE-AV Helios software, and Application of Helios for rotorcraft modeling and simulation. This position plays a critical role in supporting rotorcraft analysis and engineering applications and ensuring the reliability, correctness, and performance of Helios-particularly for its GPU-enabled capabilities. Work location will be at Redstone Arsenal in Huntsville, Alabama.
