What is the opportunity?

RBC's U.S. Clearing & Custody (C&C) business is seeking an experienced Senior Relationship Manager who will be responsible for developing and executing strategic plans to retain and expand our relationships with RIA firms. Working closely with clients and internal business partners the role will provide tailored solutions to client needs and ensure high levels of client satisfaction.

What will you do?

  • Develop and execute strategic account plans to expand relationships with key clients
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers at client organizations
  • Conduct regular business reviews with clients to understand their needs and identify new opportunities
  • Prioritize building strong relationships with clients and understanding their needs
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including sales, product, and technology, to develop and deliver tailored solutions to clients
  • Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of client needs, preferences, and pain points
  • Stay up to date on industry trends, competitor activity, and market developments to identify opportunities
  • Aim to renew contracts under favorable terms for client and C&C and cultivate profitable relationships
  • Develop customized and detailed strategic development plans for client firms

What do you need to succeed?

  • 5+ years of experience in RIA client relationship management
  • Must be willing to travel up to 50%
  • Proven track record of building strong client relationships
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with internal teams to drive solutions
  • Strong business consultation skills
  • Strong understanding of the industry and market trends
  • FINRA Series 7, 63/65 or 66 preferred, but not required

The expected salary range for this particular position is $120,000-$200,000, (New York City), $99,000-$176,000, (Chicago), $90,000-$160,000, (Minneapolis), depending on your experience, skills, and registration status, market conditions and business needs.

You have the potential to earn more through RBC's discretionary variable compensation program which gives you an opportunity to increase your total compensation, provided the business meets its performance targets and you meet your individual goals.
